I’m Cathy Nault. I live and work in Mechanicsville, VA just outside the state’s capital of Richmond. My artwork is mostly inspired by marine life and architecture. Two extremes I know, but that’s me! Always all over the place! (Hey, aren’t most artists?!) I work primarily in textiles: fabric dyeing/printing, felting, weaving and quilting. Pretty much anything that involves a textile-like medium. I received my BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University-School Of The Arts.
When I’m not creating in my studio, I’m working in my other business, ArtisticBlend Designs, with my husband Tim. ArtisticBlend Designs provides interior decorating and home staging services to local homeowners and realtors. I hold a certification in Interior Decorating from the University of Richmond-School of Continuing Studies and am an APSD certified home stager.
